Police are looking for a woman who pepper sprayed an employee Monday night at a University District store. Several other people inside the business were also exposed to the pepper spray and were treated at the scene by the Seattle Fire Department.
On Monday evening, at approximately 7:15 pm, officers responded to reports of an assault inside a business in the 4500 block of University Way NE. An unidentified woman got into an argument with an employee and then pulled out a can of pepper spray and sprayed the employee in the face. A large volume of pepper spray was released inside the store, affecting several other employees and customers.
Seattle Police and Seattle Fire both responded to the scene. Several people, who stated they had been exposed to the spray, declined any medical treatment and left the scene. Five victims remained and were treated by the fire department.
According to witnesses, the female suspect is described as a white female, in her 30’s, approximately 5’5″ tall, 190-200 pounds, with blonde hair in a bun. She was wearing sunglasses, a pink sleeveless shirt and dark shorts and was carrying a dark backpack. She fled the store following the assault. Anyone with information on this individual is asked to contact Seattle Police.
