Seattle police arrested a man and seized two handguns in downtown Seattle on Wednesday after King County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted the man pointing a gun at a woman on a busy Downtown street.
Around 3:30 PM, plainclothes King County Sheriffs Deputies were passing through the 300 block of Pike Street Wednesday when they saw a man pointing a gun at a woman. They quickly called for uniformed SPD officers, and SPD Bike Patrol units arrived and spotted the suspect trying to stuff a gun in his waistband.
Officers quickly took control of the man and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, as well a second loaded Glock handgun. They also found a half-empty bottle of whiskey in the man’s pants pocket.
Police booked the man into King County Jail for unlawful use of a weapon and reckless endangerment
