Detectives Arrest Prolific Pioneer Square Meth Dealer

During the course of a two month investigation, detectives identified and developed probable cause for the arrest of a 48-year-old man suspected of dealing multiple ounces of methamphetamine in the Pioneer Square neighborhood.  The suspect was arrested yesterday in Seattle.

Narcotics detectives received information about the meth dealing in Pioneer Square.  The suspect was identified, and detectives set about making multiple undercover purchases of drugs from the suspect.  The suspect lives outside of Seattle, but would come into the city to sell meth.

On Wednesday, August 28th, detectives located the suspect in Bellevue and followed him to 23rd Avenue South and South Massachusetts where he was stopped and arrested by South Precinct Anti-Crime Team officers.  During a search of the suspect’s vehicle, detectives located and seized 117 grams (4 ounces) of methamphetamine.  The drugs were submitted into evidence.

The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail.  Detectives will continue to follow up on this investigation.
