SPD detectives are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a 77-year-old couple in Lake City late last month. The 77-year-old woman died approximately one week after the collision.
Police were called to Northeast 125th and 28th Avenue Northeast around 9 AM on September 30th after the driver of an older white sedan, possibly a Subaru, struck two pedestrians—a 77-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man—and fled the scene.
The Seattle Fire Department examined both victims at the scene and determined their injuries appeared minor. Both were transported to an area hospital by private ambulance.
One week after the collision, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office notified police the 77-year-old woman had died.
