UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Pioneer Square Nightclub Arson Investigation

Update:

Arson Detectives arrested a 29-year-old man Sunday morning and booked him into King County Jail for investigation of Arson as well as an unrelated warrant.

Detectives will now work with the Prosecutor’s office as the case moves forward.

SPD Arson detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire overnight at a nightclub in the Pioneer Square neighborhood.  Investigators have determined that the fire was deliberately set. There were no injuries.

West Precinct officers responded to assist the Seattle Fire Department with a fire in the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South at about 2:40 Monday morning.  After the fire was put out, investigators determined that the fire was deliberately set by an individual.

The case has been assigned to a detective, and the case is an active and on-going investigation.  We will update with additional information when it becomes available.
