UPDATE: Detectives Investigating Two Overnight Shootings

UPDATE:

Detectives have determined the man that was dropped off at HMC was the victim in a separate incident. The 45-year-old man has since died of his injuries. Homicide detectives are now taking over the case.

ORIGINAL:

Detectives are investigating after two people were one person was shot Downtown and second gunshot victim was dropped off at the hospital just after 2 am Saturday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a club in the 2200 block of 1st Avenue for a report of a fight disturbance. Officers arrived moments later and found a man with a gunshot wound to the face lying in a parking lot.

Seattle Fire Department medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) in serious condition.

Witnesses told officers that there was a fight disturbance at a nearby club that spilled out into the parking lot. They said that two people pulled out guns and started firing at each other, striking cars and hitting at least one person.

Gang Unit detectives are now investigating and are asking with additional information in this case to please call the tip line at 206-233-5000.


A second victim, a 45-year-old man, was dropped off at HMC just after 2 am. Doctors at the hospital listed the man as having life-threatening injuries.
