Detectives from the Domestic Violence Service and Firearms Enforcement Unit served a Domestic Violence Protection Order with an Order to Surrender Weapons on November 7th. Detectives learned that the respondent was in possession of firearms. The assigned detective developed information that he was a convicted felon and thereby prohibited from possessing firearms.
A search warrant was written and detectives and SWAT officers served it yesterday morning. The male suspect was taken into custody with incident and two handguns, a 9mm Glock and a .40 caliber Glock semi-automatic pistol were located and recovered. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for the unlawful possession of a firearm.
