Detectives are investigating after a person was killed when they and three other people were struck by a car Friday afternoon in the 3900 block of Aurora Avenue North.
Witnesses began calling 911 just after 1 pm Friday to report a car crash in the Fremont neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found four people had been struck by a vehicle after it’s driver lost control and struck the victims as they walked along the sidewalk. One person died of their injuries at the scene while three additional people were taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
A witness flagged down officers to show them where the driver of the suspect vehicle was hiding and she was taken into custody without incident. Drug recognition experts are now evaluating the woman to determine if there is any level of impairment.
Detectives will book the woman into King County jail for investigation of vehicular homicide.
