Police recovered a stolen, loaded .38 caliber handgun and a small amount of cocaine from a 25-year-old man early Saturday following a disturbance outside of a nightclub on Capitol Hill.
Officers were working an East Precinct Nightlife Emphasis Patrol shortly after 1:00 am Saturday when they observed a disturbance outside of a club at 10th Avenue and East Pike Street. Witnesses were able to point out the suspect to officers, who took him into custody.
During a search of the suspect, officers discovered a loaded handgun, which was later determined to be stolen. Officers also located 5 grams of suspected cocaine and cash on the suspect. The necklace was not located.
