Detectives Investigating Two Early Morning Drive-By Shootings

Gang Unit detectives are currently investigating two shootings that occurred in early Monday morning. In both cases, a victim inside the residence was struck by gunfire, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The first incident occurred at approximately 3:00 am in the 5900 block of 32 Avenue South. South Precinct officers responded to reports of shots fired at a house. A female inside the residence was struck in the leg while sleeping in a bedroom. She was later transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. There is no description of the vehicle or suspects at this time.

At approximately 5:00 am North Precinct officers responded to reports of a house being struck by gunfire in the 11500 block of 35th Avenue NE. A male victim asleep in a bedroom was struck by gunfire, also in the leg. He was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Again, no description of any vehicle or suspects.

It is unknown if these two shootings are related. These remain active investigations by the Gang Unit. Anyone with information on either of these incidents is asked to contact the Seattle Police Department.
