Officers arrested a suspect inside a closed restaurant early this morning after responding to an alarm call in the South Lake Union neighborhood.
At approximately 5:30 am, West Precinct officers responded to an alarm call at a closed restaurant in the 700 block of Westlake Avenue North. Officers arrived and discovered that the front glass door had been broken. Officers searched what they could of the interior of the business and then waited for an employee to arrive with a key.
Once the key holder arrived, officers completed a more extensive search. While searching, officers located the 37-year-old male suspect in a back hallway that connects with other businesses. Officers detained the suspect and found that he was carrying items from the restaurant. The suspect was arrested and later booked into the King County Jail for investigation of burglary.
