On April 23rd, 2020, detectives arrested a 33-year-old female in connection with the March 19th homicide that occurred in the Ballard Fred Meyer parking lot. A 42-year-old male was already in jail on an unrelated robbery. Both suspects have been booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder, investigation of arson and investigation of auto theft.
This remains an active investigation, and detectives continue to work with the King County Prosecutor’s Office.

Update 3/26:
The woman who was struck by a driver in a Ballard parking lot last Thursday has died from her injuries. Homicide detectives are now handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Seattle Police Department Violent Crimes tip line at (206) 233-5000.

Detectives Investigating Serious Hit and Run, Need Public’s Assistance

Detectives are investigating a hit and run collision that occurred on Thursday, March 19th in Ballard. The victim, an adult female, sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by the suspect vehicle.
On Thursday, at noon, the victim was in the parking lot of the Fred Meyer in the 900 block of NW 45th Street. The victim was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop and fled the area. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
