Detectives are conducting the investigation following a single vehicle collision into a pole that killed both the driver and the passenger Saturday night in the SODO neighborhood.
At approximately 8:20 pm, a Ford Mustang, driven by an adult male and occupied by an adult female, was travelling northbound in the 3400 block of Airport Way South. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a light pole. Both the driver and passenger were declared deceased at the scene.
Traffic Collision investigators responded to the scene and began their investigation. It is believed that alcohol and speed were factors in this collision. This remains an active and on-going investigation.
