UPDATE 6/4: The suspect in this case was arrested yesterday by a Washington State Patrol trooper in Kittitas County after he was stopped for speeding. The trooper recognized the man as a homicide suspect from a wanted bulletin and took him into custody. Homicide detectives interviewed the 46-year-old suspect and booked him into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.
This remains an active and on-going homicide investigation.
Detectives are conducting their investigation following the fatal stabbing of an adult male earlier this evening at N. 117th Place and Aurora Avenue North.
Just after 6:00 PM officers and Seattle Fire responded to a report of a stabbing at that location, in the parking lot of a business at 117th and Aurora. Seattle Fire attempted life-saving measures but the victim died from his injuries. The suspect fled prior to officers arriving.
Homicide and CSI responded and have begun their investigation. The northbound lanes of Aurora Avenue North have been shut down while the investigation is conducted.
