#2020-239450/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 8-14-2020 at 0000 hours, a ride-share driver was driving three unknown people when, in a Ballard parking lot, one passenger brandished a handgun and demanded the driver’s money. A struggle ensued and it is believed a round from the handgun went off but did not hit anyone. The three suspects then punched and kicked the victim to a point he went unconscious. The suspects took the victim’s phone, wallet and vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was located later. 

#2020-239509/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 8-14-2020 at 0245 hours, an unknown male entered a convenience store in the 300 block of N. 36th St, pointed a black handgun at the clerk, and demanded cash. He took approximately $100 and fled on foot. 

#2020-239766/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 8-14-2020 at 1048 hours, a blue sedan driven by an adult male attempted a U-turn from the southbound lanes of Lake City Way NE to the northbound lanes, in the 8900-block. As the sedan entered the northbound lanes during its attempted U-turn, it was struck by a northbound motorcycle. The adult male motorcycle rider was ejected during the collision and was thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver of the sedan was uninjured. No signs of impairment were observed in the driver of the sedan. 

#2020-239874/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 8-14-2020 at 1258 hours, officers responded to a burglary at a school in the 9400 block of 30th Ave SW. Staff on site observed two males using a crowbar to access the building. Officers responded and the suspects fled into the woods. Seattle Police K9 responded. Officers detained two possible suspects at the bus stop in the 2600 block of SW Barton St. SPD K9 tracked to the suspects being detained. Suspect #1 admitted to committing the burglary. Both suspects were arrested. Search incident to arrest, Officers recovered drugs and the crowbar from suspect #2. 

#2020-232155/South Precinct/Second Watch:

A man was murdered on 8-5-2020 by being stabbed in front of the Seattle Fire Department Station #5 on the waterfront. On 8-14-2020 at 1423 hours, South ACT & DOC determined that the suspect was hiding at a relative’s home in Port Orchard. The South DOC team and task force units established a surveillance/arrest operation in that area, and the suspect was spotted and taken into custody without incident. The suspect was transported to HQ and subsequently booked into KCJ for Investigation of Homicide. 

#2020-240048/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch: 

On 8-14-2020 at 1636 hours, officers were dispatched to a home invasion robbery with a gun in the 6400 block of SW Wilton Ct. The victim had called his father prior to police being notified. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who stated that suspect #1 entered the residence pointing a gun and demanding property. The victim turned over property including a handgun to the suspect #1. Suspect #1 then fled on foot. A neighbor advised that there were two suspects that fled on foot. Seattle Police K9 responded. The suspects were not located. 

#2020-240190/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 8-14-2020 at 1900 hours, a group of approximately 25 protesters gathered at the North Precinct. One subject sprayed graffiti on the front wall of the North Precinct. The suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of Property Damage. 

#2020-240252/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 8-14-2020 at 2040 hours, officers responded to the report of a stabbing near the Seattle Center Shelter. The victim had a wound to his hand. The suspect was located and arrested without incident. 

#2020-240211/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 8-14-2020 at 2220 hours, a group of approximately 100 people dressed in black clothing carrying shields, helmets, body armor, gas masks, many with heavy backpacks, took over the main thoroughfare in Capitol Hill after gathering in a nearby park. The group began to march North down the street and almost immediately began causing significant property destruction to neighborhood businesses. Group members were accompanied by numerous vehicles and bicyclist that were used to shield those that caused the property destruction. Several arrests were made and all were booked into jail.
