Homicide detectives are investigating following the fatal shooting of a man Monday night at a bus stop at N. 46th and Aurora Avenue North.

Just before 10:00 PM, officers responded to a call of shooting at that location and found the adult male victim on the sidewalk. Officers immediately performed life-saving measures, including CPR, until the Seattle Fire Department arrived and took over care. The man was declared deceased at the scene.

Witnesses stated the victim was in an argument with another male at the bus stop when the victim was shot. The suspect fled on foot. Seattle Police and King County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched the area, including with a K-9 team, but did not locate the suspect.

Detectives from Homicide and CSI responded to begin their investigation and process the scene. This remains an active homicide investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Violent Crimes tip line at (206) 233-5000.
