#2020-243872/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-19-2020 at 0050 hours, a complainant heard shots fired in the 1700 block of Harvard Ave. Officers responded and did not locate any victims or damage.
#2020-226561/West Precinct/First Watch:
Update to an incident from 7-29-20 at 0030 hours when a man inside his residence heard a loud protest outside on the street. He went outside and observed a group of protesters calling themselves “Every Day March” or “EDM”. The group was heading SE on 10th Av W. towards W. Lee St. He took several photos of the protest and was confronted by an unidentified female who demanded to know why he was in the area. He attempted to walk home but was blocked by the female. She stood in his way, moving side to side when he attempted to walk around her. He made contact with the female as he tried to get around her to go home. He pushed her away from him. He was approached by several other protesters and was told to keep his hands off the protesters. The man attempted to explain what had happened but was met with multiple people yelling at him, surrounding him, and flashing lights in his face. He was told to walk away so he tried to leave. He was followed by at least two protesters, pointing flashlights at him with the strobe activated. He stopped and tried to talk to the group of now at least 6 protesters. Several in the group were shining lights in his eyes. This continued for a few minutes. The victim eventually grabbed one of the flashlights that was stuck in his face. He was pushed away from the female that he had taken the flashlight from. The victim was able to have a conversation with two of the protesters, he was speaking with them when someone struck the victim one time in the face, causing him to fall backwards and strike his head on the sidewalk. This case was assigned to a detective. After an investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested after a short foot pursuit in the area of the 1100 Blk of Republican St. The suspect claimed he was injured so was treated at Harborview Medical Center and then booked into the King County Jail.
#2020-244169/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 8-19-2020 at 1044 hours, officers responded to a call at Westlake Park. Two park employees were threatened by a man in the park. The man used racial slurs during the incident. Officers located the suspect and took him into custody. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of a hate crime.
#2020-244105/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 8-19-2020 at 0930 hours, a fully loaded tractor trailer semi, broke the right rear axles and became disabled blocking traffic. The vehicle was occupying the south bound lane of Delridge Way S. just south of W Marginal Way S. Traffic units arrived on scene and assisted motorists around the disabled vehicle. The Semi was repaired on scene and the roadway reopened at 1118 hours.
#2020-244445/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 8-19-2020 at 1553 hours, SPD and the Washington State Patrol responded to a three-vehicle minor injury collision at W. Marginal Way S/S Holden St. The roadway was blocked for about 45 minutes with cars passing in the left turn lanes. The causing driver was arrested by the WSP for suspected DUI after resisting arrest.

On 08-15-2020 #2020-240899, 07-15-2020 #2020-213815, 07-11-2020 #2020-210905, 06-21-2020 #2020-193337, 06-06-2020 #2020-182694, 05-28-2020 #2020-175307 Over the past 3 months, officers have responded to numerous complaints of stalking in and around 35 Ave SW/SW Avalon Wy. The suspect has been clearly identified. Today, another victim was followed to four different locations in West Seattle, causing her great fear. Officers contacted the suspect and he was arrested.
#2020-244465/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 8-19-2020 at 1615 hours, two suspects approached the victims, who had just made a transaction at an ATM. One was wearing a backpack. One of the suspects grabbed hold of the victim’s backpack and pulled it off her back. The suspects then ran to a car and fled the area.
#2020-244688/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-19-2020 at 2130 hours, a man called 911 to report an attempted auto theft at his residence. He had confronted the suspect who was making efforts to start the victim’s vehicle. Officers responded and contacted the victim. The suspect was then observed leaving the area in a separate vehicle and a description was broadcast. Investigating officers developed PC for attempt auto theft. An additional responding officer located the suspect vehicle traveling northbound on Delridge Way SW. A high-risk stop was conducted, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Post Miranda, the suspect admitted to entering the vehicle with the intent of taking it but fled when he got scared. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail.
#2020-244753/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-19-2020 at 2245 hours, the victims were leaving their place of business when they were accosted by three suspects, who had been waiting out front. The suspects demanded they hand over their belongings and the victims refused. The three suspects attacked the victims, assaulting them physically. The suspects stole the victims’ iPhone, credit card, identification and a thousand dollars in cash. The victims drove to a friend’s house in south Seattle, where they called for medical attention.
