#2020-245730/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 8-21-2020 at 0224 hours, the Seattle Fire Department reported a recycle bin damaged by a fire of suspicious origin. A Fire Marshal notified Arson Bomb Squad of the incident, and patrol responded to the scene. 

#2020-246468/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch: 

On 8-21-2020 at 1850 hours, officers were dispatched to a robbery at a grocery store located in the 4200 block of SW Morgan St. The suspect had punched the clerk in the face, fled on foot and was seen boarding a bus. Officers had just driven by the suspect before the 911 call was broadcast and before he had boarded the bus. Witnesses provided the Metro Coach # to officers, who located the bus near 35th Ave SW/SW Barton St. Officers then detained a possible suspect and a witness was transported to that location. The witness positively identified the suspect. Suspect was booked into the King County Jail for robbery and harassment. $400 worth of merchandise was returned to the Victim Business. 

#2020-246589/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 8-21-2020 at 2130 hours, officers were investigating an assault where the victim was in crisis. A third party who was not involved in the incident walked into the scene and spoke to the victim briefly, then started berating officers. Officers politely asked her to wait to the side so that she would not interfere with the investigation. The suspect did not leave and became belligerent to the point of completely halting the investigation. Officers attempted to escort her away. Instead, she attempted to punch the Sergeant but failed and was taken into custody. After the suspect was placed into custody, she kicked one officer in the throat and another officer in the chest. Officers were uninjured. 

#2020-246578/South Precinct/Third Watch: 

On 8-21-2020 at 2117 hours, officers were dispatched to assist the Seattle Fire Department regarding a vehicle on fire. The vehicle was completely burned. SFD Marshall responded and investigated. According to the Marshall, the fire was deliberately set. Marshall processed the scene and will notify SPD Arson Bomb Square. There was no injury and no suspect information. 

#2020-246637/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 8-21-2020 at 2234 hours, officers responded to a robbery in the 7200 block of E Marginal WY S in which the suspect robbed the gas station, while armed with a knife. The suspect made off with goods on the store’s countertop but no money. The suspect was not located.
