Original:

Officers arrested a woman after she stabbed two people in Belltown Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to an apartment building in the 2500 block of 4th Avenue around 11:30 AM after receiving reports that a woman who, up until recently lived in the building, had returned and stabbed two people. Officers arrived and found one victim with life threatening injuries and one with serious injuries. Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment and are currently recovering from their wounds.

Police tracked the woman to her former apartment and were able to confirm that she had barricaded herself inside. Hostage Negotiators, Mental Health Providers, Crisis Intervention Officers, and SWAT officers responded to the apartment and all attempted to contact the woman to no avail. Police applied for and were granted a warrant to enter the apartment to arrest the woman from a Seattle Municipal Court Judge. Officers continued their attempts to speak with the woman inside the apartment, but she refused to exit. Eventually, officers entered and were able to take her into custody following a taser deployment.

Police will now book the woman into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
