#2020-280264/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 9-30-2020 at 0018 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a subject burning cardboard in an alley. Upon arrival, officers learned from witnesses that the suspect was adding cardboard to a burning fire when he was confronted. Officers observed that the fire was against a concrete building, and on a gas pipe. They immediately extinguished the fire and waited for Seattle Fire to respond. Officers learned from witnesses that a subject they had passed coming into the scene was likely the suspect. The Arson Bomb Squad was notified.

#2020-280432/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 9-30-2020 at 1014 hours, an officer on-viewed a minor collision at Rainier S/S. Graham. The involved vehicle was stolen and occupied by four juveniles. All were detained. The three passengers were released while the driver was booked into the Youth Services Center.

#2020-281106/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 9-30-2020 at 2111 hours, a male went to an ATM. A suspect approached the victim from behind and held a gun to his head. The victim and suspect fought briefly before the victim gave the suspect approximately $500 and his cell phone. Suspect fled on foot. Containment was set and K9 performed a track with negative results. Later, the victim was able to set up the find my phone app and tracked his phone. Officers responded to the phone’s location and located the phone. The person in possession of the phone did not match the suspect description. The person in possession of the phone described the person who gave him the phone and that person did match the suspect description, but the suspect was not located.

#2020-281129/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 9-30-2020 at 2152 hours, police were dispatched to the 12000 block of Aurora Ave N, in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, police located the victim, with an apparent stab wound in the upper left side of his chest. Police learned during their investigation that the suspect was nearby and, were able to apprehend the suspect. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, injuries were non-life threatening. The suspect was later booked into jail.

#2020-281145/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 9-30-2020 at 2226 hours, a suspect argued with neighbors over a parking issue. It escalated to the point that the suspect pulled out a gun and fired 2 rounds into the air. Officers arrived and located the suspect. The suspect was cooperative and was taken into custody without incident. The weapon used was located along with multiple other firearms. 3 of the guns recovered were stolen including the gun used in this incident. The suspect was a felon and was prohibited from possessing firearms. The suspect was arrested and booked.
