Gang Unit, US Marshals Taskforce Arrest Suspect in Central District Shooting

SPD Gang Unit detectives and the US Marshals Taskforce arrested a 24-year-old man in Lakewood on Wednesday for seriously wounding a man in a drive-by shooting last month in the Central District.

On September 20th, police responded to 23rd and Dearborn after a 44-year-old man was shot shortly after leaving a convenience store.

The suspect fled the scene, but detectives were able to gather surveillance footage from near the scene, allowing them to identify the suspect.

SPD Detectives and members of the US Marshals Taskforce arrested the man in Lakewood and booked him into the King County Jail for assault, drive-by shooting, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
