#2020-272477/East Precinct/Second Watch: 

On 9-20-2020 a drive-by shooting occurred at 23 Av. S. and S. Dearborn St. where one victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Officers conducted follow up investigations and developed probable cause for the suspect. On 10/7/20 Detectives and the U.S. Marshals Taskforce arrested the suspect in Lakewood, WA. The suspect was booked for Assault 1, Drive-by Shooting, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. 

#2020-287092/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-7-2020 at 1315 hours, the Arson Bomb Squad was notified by the Dept. of Homeland Security regarding a suspicious package on the steps of the William Kenzo U.S. Court House. Working together with the FBI, ABS was able to determine the package was non-hazardous. DHS provided a suspect description and Mary sector units conducted an area check, but none were located. 

#2020-287295/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-7-2020 at 1651 hours, a male was standing in the 1500 block of 3 Ave when he got into an altercation with a female. During the altercation, the female suspect stabbed the victim in the rib cage and forearm with a pair of child’s safety scissors. The Community Response Group and patrol units were in the area and responded quickly. Officers provided medical aid to the victim while awaiting Seattle Fire. An area check for the suspect was conducted but she was not located. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. 

#2020-287415/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-07-2020 at 1907 hours, Community Response Group units responded to Woodland Park for a suspicious fire, which burned an encampment. There were no injuries and no damage to the surrounding area. Within the burned debris, CRG units located and recovered a short-barreled shotgun. The incident was screened with the Arson Bomb Squad. 

#2020-287444/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-7-2020 at 1938 hours, a 911 caller reported a male sweating, yelling and waving an object around, possibly a knife near 7 AVE S and S Lane ST. Officers located the suspect and gave verbal commands. The suspect dropped the object which was actually a screwdriver. The suspect resisted handcuffing during the arrest. During the arrest he made a complaint of pain and had a minor scratch on his back. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for unlawful use of weapons to intimidate another. A Type II use of force investigation was initiated.
