#2020-315371/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 0126 hours, a caller reported that he was shot in the arm. He called from an encampment under I-5 at S King ST. He reported that he was shot at a different encampment near the south end of the Jose Rizal Bridge. The wound was non-life threatening and he was transported to Harborview Medical Center via AMR. The caller said that he was in a tent and an unknown person shot him from outside the tent. Officers searched the area and could not locate the tent or any evidence of the shooting. There were no witnesses and no other callers. 

#2020-315418/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 0405 hours, a male stated that earlier he was at 15 Ave SW/SW Roxbury St involved in a drug transaction with multiple subjects. The victim stated that during the drug transaction one of the subjects pulled a gun on him. The subject stated that he took the gun, and someone shot at him. The subject stated that he ran to the 9700 BLK of Meyers Way S and during the process cut his wrist on a fence. The subject stated that the subjects involved in the drug transaction located him at the 9700 BLK of Meyers Way S. The subject stated that he fired a couple of rounds in self-defense because he was scared for his life. Officers checked different locations for a crime scene and evidence, but they weren’t successful. The local hospitals were clear of any new gunshot wound victims. The firearm was recovered, and it came back clear. The firearm was submitted into evidence and the subject was transported to the hospital. 

#2020-315459/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 0715 hours, Seattle Fire and SW patrol personnel responded to a motorhome fire at 23 SW and SW Myrtle. Three persons were injured and a fourth was thought to be deceased inside the motorhome. A fire marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad were requested. During the investigation, the fourth victim returned to the scene having escaped the fire. The fire was determined to have started with a heater and was accidental. 

#2020-315559/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 0947 hours, officers investigated a burglary incident in which there was evidence of the crime. Based on the evidence and witness identification, the suspect was contacted, arrested, and booked for Burglary. The suspect was also believed to be selling narcotics from his apartment. Officers obtained a search warrant and located the stolen items in the suspect’s apartment.

#2020-315720/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 1320 hours, officers responded to the area of the 4900 blk of 24 Av S to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, there were no victims or suspects. Witnesses stated two vehicles were possibly involved. An older, light colored, Corolla or Nissan, and a silver Charger. Evidence of a shooting was found at the scene and entered into evidence.

#2020-305672/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 1400 hours, SPD detectives, along with ATF Agents and DOC Specialists, conducted an arrest operation at the Kent DOC office for a suspect wanted for unlawful possession of a firearm. The suspect arrived at the office in a vehicle and was taken into custody without incident. A passenger in the suspect car was recognized as being wanted for homicide. He was arrested and transported to the SPD Homicide office for an interview. During the arrest of the suspects, detectives observed two firearms in the car. The vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant. Following the arrest of the suspects, detectives served a search warrant at a related apartment where they recovered additional firearms evidence. Both suspects were booked into jail.

#2020-315814/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 1540 hours, victim and suspect were in a business relationship (Music production). Suspect came to victim’s apartment for discussion, during which he learned he was being cut from his contract. The upset suspect started to leave, grabbing victim’s fanny pack (containing $3500 cash and ID’s) from a table. When victim tried to grab it back, the suspect pulled out a 9mm pistol and threatened the victim. Suspect fled into the large apartment complex. Containment was established and K9 and DOC Officers arrived, but evidence showed suspect fled through alley side before SPD arrived. Victim was uninjured.

#2020-315880/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 1712 hours, several citizens called 9-1-1 to report hearing up to two large explosions, seeing a fireball, then several small active fires burning in Cal Anderson Park near a large encampment close to the wading pool. Officers responded and Seattle Fire staged. The encampment occupants were verbally aggressive and hostile to responding officers. Officers heard some subjects state a large firework was used to ignite the fires. Officers used fire extinguishers to put the fires out. Officers were unable to determine who lit the fires or if there was a victim who had their belongings burned.

#2020-316011/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-9-2020 at 2019 hours, officers stopped a vehicle for running a stop sign. As they approached the vehicle, radio informed them it was a stolen vehicle. The vehicle fled the stop. Officers did not pursue the vehicle, but followed the path of it, and found it wrecked into a Metro bus. The driver fled but was arrested nearby. The driver was DUI and officers got a blood warrant. There were no passengers on the bus.
