#2020-325036/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-21-2020 at 0015 hours, officers responded to the initial reports of shots fired near the intersection of 16 Ave S and S Winthrop St. Upon arrival officers concluded that some type of explosion had occurred, and the Arson Bomb Squad was requested. After conducting a post-blast analysis, ABS Detectives determined the explosion(s) were created by the detonation of consumer pyrotechnics. There were no witnesses, nor damage to persons or property. Any follow-up will be handled by ABS Detectives. 

#2020-325473/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-21-2020 at 1458 hours, an elderly female was in a supermarket parking lot in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. The victim was at her open car door when an unknown suspect drove up, got out of his vehicle and grabbed the victim’s purse that was slung around her shoulder. The victim was dragged on the ground for several feet before the suspect was able to wrest the purse away, get into his vehicle and flee the scene. The victim suffered minor abrasions to her arms but declined medical attention. There have been several strong-arm robberies of this nature at this location over the past several months. 

#2020-325861/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-21-2020 at 2336 hours, multiple callers reported hearing around 10 shots fired and seeing people and vehicles fleeing from the area of a vigil being held near the 400 block of 28 AV S. Officers located evidence of a shooting and some damage to the window of a nearby building. No suspect information at this time. 

#2020-325254/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 11-21-2020 at 1018 hours, officers located a rolling Renton PD Stolen Vehicle occupied by two people. Additional resources converged on the area. Suspect pulled into a driveway. A stop was conducted, and no reportable force used. The driver was booked into the King County Jail. Passenger was unaware of the vehicle status and was allowed to leave the scene.
