#2020-337879/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 12-07-2020 at 0747 hours, officers arrived on an unrelated dispatched disturbance in the Cascade neighborhood. An agitated male resident charged toward an officer, chest-bumped the officer and raised his fist. The suspect was pushed away and arrested. No hospitalization or first aid was required.

#2020-337955/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 12-07-2020 at 0400 hours, the suspect entered the courtyard of the Martin Court Apartments and poured an unknown accelerant onto a planter and shrub that was against the wall. The suspect then lit the shrub that erupted in flame rapidly against the wall of a unit below a window. Soon after, the suspect grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the fire. The fire caused damage to the planter and minor damage to the wall. Officers responded, examined evidence of the incident and immediately recognized the suspect from multiple prior contacts. The suspect was located walking near the apartments at 1500 hours and was arrested without incident. The Arson Bomb Squad screened the incident and will be handling the follow up.

#2020-338269/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 12-07-2020 at 1603 hours, officer responded to the 4700 block of California Ave SW for an attempted robbery. The suspect had concealed merchandise. When the suspect was confronted by a staff member, the suspect pulled out a knife. The suspect made a stabbing motion and placed the knife up to his neck as if cutting it. The suspect threatened to kill the staff member. The suspect fled the store but was apprehended a short distance away. Officers recovered narcotics and knife from the suspect. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail.

#2020-338220/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 12-07-2020 at 1505 hours, officer responded to the 2600 block of 42nd Ave SW to assist Department Of Corrections. DOC officers had one of their offenders in custody inside an apartment. Another person had left the apartment as DOC arrived. DOC officers located a large counterfeit ID, check and credit card lab. Officer recovered check making material, counterfeit IDs, counterfeit cash, stolen mail and credit cards. Officer also recovered a laptop, cell phone, printer and drug paraphernalia. The other suspect was identified and has a felony warrant for his arrest for ID theft. US Secret Service was notified. One of the suspects was booked into the King County Jail.

#2020-338457/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 12-07-2020 at 2042 hours, officers responded to the area of Rainier AV S / Wetmore AV S for multiple reports of shots. Officers located evidence and canvassed the neighborhood for anyone who may have been injured or property that was damaged. Neither was located. Officers processed the scene.

#2020-338567/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 12-07-2020 at 2358 hours, a male victim purchased a vehicle from a known female acquaintance several days prior. The victim took possession of the vehicle but did not make payment. The seller was upset and made threats about repossessing the car. Tonight, the victim was at an unmanaged homeless encampment with a female. A male suspect came up to the victim and forcefully took the car from the victim. The victim was pistol-whipped by the suspect during the possible repossession. The victim did not call 911 until 10 minutes later. Officers searched the area but were unable to find the vehicle or suspect.

#2020-338569/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 12-07-2020 at 2359 hours, officers were dispatched to a possible kidnapping at Aurora/103rd. Four witnesses stated 2 males physically picked up their friend, put her in a grey Jeep, and drove off. The witnesses were able to track the missing female’s phone which was located on the Aurora bridge sidewalk. Units located the vehicle and initiated a pursuit which resulted in the fleeing vehicle crashing. The driver fled the scene but was quickly located. He was arrested and booked for Felony Eluding and Kidnapping. The victim stated the passenger had nothing to do with the kidnapping, so he was identified and released after being transported to Harborview Medical Center for a possible arm injury.
