On 12-06-2020 at 1858 hours, South Seattle DOC contacted SPD officers regarding a Rape-1 convict who had absconded from parole. Intel indicated the suspect was behaving erratically, using methamphetamine, and there was a concern that in that state of mind he was likely to reoffend. Officers began an investigation into the whereabouts of the suspect and discovered that he had been contacted (while wanted) by two outside agencies that failed to correctly identify and arrest him, increasing the urgency to locate him. Intelligence gathered from contacts at multiple addresses and service of a search warrant led to discovery of the suspect’s movement pattern. Officers and DOC launched a surveillance/arrest operation which led to the suspect being located and taken into custody without incident in SeaTac, WA. The suspect was transported and booked into the SCORE jail.
