#2020-347136/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-18-2020 at 0237 hours, officers responded to investigate a drive-by shooting to an unoccupied vehicle. No one was injured. Officers located approx. seven bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle and other evidence.
#2020-347142/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-18-2020 at 0313 hours, officers responded to a possible arson at an unoccupied RV. A nearby gas can and generator were on fire, which partially damaged the RV. Fire investigators arrived and the SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad was contacted but did not respond. No suspects or victims found.
#2020-347156/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-18-2020 at 0355 hours, a male was inside his house sleeping located at the 9000 BLK of 3 Ave SW. The victim heard a loud noise outside his window. The victim saw that a male was under his truck cutting something, and there was a second male standing up being the lookout. The victim saw the suspects get in a green small van, and one of the suspects shot a round in the air. The suspects drove away Southbound on 3 Ave SW. The suspects took the muffler from the victim’s vehicle. Officers checked the area for the suspects and evidence, but nothing was located. King County was notified about the suspect’s vehicle.
#2020-347345/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-18-2020 at 1035 hours, officers responded to multiple callers reporting a male randomly attacking citizens on the street. Officers located multiple victims and the subject on Royal Brougham near the stadiums. After punching one of the victims in the face, the victim dropped his car keys on the ground. The subject picked up the victim’s car keys and fled the scene. Officers located the subject a short time later and he was positively identified by one of the victims. The subject was placed under arrest for Investigation of Robbery. The stolen car keys were found in the subject’s pants pocket. Due to a pre-existing injury that the subject had sustained earlier in the day at Cal Anderson Park, the subject was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The subject is currently under hospital guard pending robbery charges.
#2020-347454/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-18-2020 at 1241 hours, officers and K-9 units responded to the 7900 block of Rainier AV S regarding an armed robbery. The suspects did not get very far and were arrested nearby. The female subject was released pending possible charges. The male was booked for Robbery, Violation of a Court Order, and multiple warrants. Incident screened with the Robbery Unit.
#2020-347505/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-18-2020 at 1342 hours, officers located a white Ford Van in the parking lot just south of Jack Block Park that matched the description of a vehicle involved in a road rage incident in Southwest where the suspect shot two victims before fleeing the scene. During the course of this investigation, this vehicle and suspect ended up matching the description of a suspect and vehicle involved in a shooting in Kent, WA. The suspect was detained and then taken into custody by Kent detectives and the vehicle was impounded. The connection between this suspect and the Southwest shooting is still under investigation.
#2020-347860/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-18-2020 at 2322 hours, officers were dispatched to the University District for reports of a group of males chasing a man with an ax. A witness directed officers to a boarding house where the suspect dragged the victim inside. Blood was located outside. Officers knocked and entered, locating a victim and suspect inside. Victim was treated on scene by Seattle Fire for cuts to the face and transported to the hospital by AMR. Suspect arrested without incident and booked into the King County Jail for Assault 2.
