#2020-348166/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-19-2020 at 1235 hours, officers responded to a report of a vehicle partially in the roadway with airbag deployment and a subject passed out in the driver’s seat. The vehicle had obviously been in a collision, but it was unknown at the time what was hit. The vehicle was stolen out of another jurisdiction. The suspect was under the influence of an unknown substance, was cleared by Seattle Fire at the scene. Suspect was arrested for PSP/Vehicle with charges requested for DUI physical control pending search warrant results from blood draw. As the officer backed into a parking spot at the hospital, the rear bumper slightly hit the concrete barrier. The suspect then told hospital staff he was injured from the backing incident in the parking lot. A separate investigation was conducted for OIC under 2020-348264. A hospital guard was placed on the suspect who will eventually be booked into the King County Jail.

On 12-19-2020 at 2222 hours, officers were dispatched for traffic control for a fire. A fire marshal was at the scene and request SPD to take a witness statement and write a suspicious report. At this time, the fire marshal stated the cause of the fire was unknown and there was no need to contact the SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad.
