#2020-348827/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-20-2020 at 0530 hours, officers responded to a disturbance between roommates. Officers developed probable cause to arrest one of the roommates for felony harassment. The victim fled the residence after he was threatened with a knife. The victim advised the suspect had been drinking heavily, smoked a lot of marijuana, and was recently released from the Fairfax Behavior Health Center. It was determined that the suspect had possibly passed out from the alcohol, was no longer taking needed medication, and was locked inside the apartment. The suspect wasn’t responsive to multiple knocks on the door. Officers forced entry into the apartment, located the suspect unresponsive in the living room, and placed him in the recovery position. Seattle Fire responded and treated the suspect. The suspect required additional medical treatment and was transported to Harborview Medical Center via AMR. The suspect was later booked for Felony Harassment. While at the hospital, the suspect spat in the face of an officer, and was booked for assaulting an officer under a new case number (case #2020-348893.)
#2020-349008/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-20-2020 at 1108 hours, officers were dispatched to a shots call and located a victim who had been shot at. The victim denied knowing the suspects in small silver SUV. Suspect vehicle not located. Evidence was located. Damage to uncooperative victim’s vehicle was documented.
#2020-349201/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-20-2020 at 1746 hours, citizens called 9-1-1 to report hearing 9-13 shots fired in the 2100 block of E Fir St. Evidence of a shooting was recovered at the scene. Two unrelated parked vehicles were struck by gun fire. Investigation lead to a nearby vehicle where two suspects exited same vehicle and began walking. When they reached another person walking in the opposite direction, the suspects began shooting at the victim who sprinted away. No known injuries at this time. All parties are outstanding.
#2020-349338/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-20-2020 at 1837 hours, officers responded to 35 AV SW / SW Monroe St regarding a hit-and-run involving an overturned vehicle that crashed into a parked car while heading northbound on 35 AV SW. The driver tried to flee from the scene on foot after crawling out of the overturned vehicle. The suspect was stopped by witnesses a short distance away to the south who did not let the suspect leave. Officers arrived and arrested the driver for DUI. 35 Av SW was shut down in both directions at SW Monroe St for a short time while Seattle Fire was on scene.
#2020-349355/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-20-2020 at 1906 hours, officers were on a foot beat when they observed a silver sedan driving recklessly on 5th Ave at Pine St. Officers approached the driver and he immediately hit the gas, causing an officer and several unidentified shoppers to jump out of the way. Fortunately, no one was hit. The vehicle then turned E/B into the bike lane on Pine at a very high rate of speed. In doing so, it struck the sidewalk and several planters then turned S/B on 6th Ave. The vehicle was located unoccupied at 6 Av / Seneca. It was determined to be a stolen vehicle and impounded for evidence.
#2020-349388/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-20-2020 at 2026 hours, there was a shooting in the 2100 block of E Fir St. Approximately 12 rounds were fired. The suspect ran back to his car and left the area in a green Buick Regal. A couple of hours later, officers observed the suspect vehicle driving on Rainier Ave S. The suspect vehicle sped off and drove into a parking lot. Officers relocated the vehicle. The vehicle exited the parking lot and was stopped a few blocks later. A loaded Sig Sauer 9mm handgun was located by officers in the bushes of the parking lot where the suspect vehicle had been. Evidence confirmed the suspect dumped the gun in the bushes. The suspect admitted to hiding the gun there after he had seen officers. The driver was a convicted felon and was booked into the King County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
#2020-349449/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-20-2020 at 2208 hours, a suspect walked into a store and pointed a handgun at the store clerk. The suspect walked around the counter and took the money from the cash register and the clerk’s wallet. The suspect walked out of the store and walked southbound. Containment was set up and K-9 was deployed with negative results. Robbery screened the incident.
