Police arrested a 47-year-old felon after he threatened to kill grocery store workers while armed with a handgun.
Employees at a grocery store in the 3800 block of Rainier Avenue South called 911 at 5:15 PM to report that a man had just threatened to kill them while stealing some items.
Officers responding to the call found the suspect a few blocks away and took him into custody without incident. While searching the man, officers found a loaded 9mm pistol. The suspect is a convicted felon and prevented from possessing a firearm.
Officers booked the man into King County Jail for robbery and firearm charges.
