#2020-351379/South Precinct/First Watch: 

On 12-23-2020 at 0439 hours, officers responded to a reported dumpster fire. Seattle Fire responded to extinguish the fire at which time it was discovered that the fire had grown and started burning the building, occupied residential condominium, immediately adjacent to the dumpster. SFD put out the flames and any residual burning to the residential structure. The unknown suspect was not located or identified. An area check was made with negative results. Fire marshal responded to the scene for investigation, the SPD Arson Bomb Squad was notified and will have follow up investigation duties. 

#2020-351715/West Precinct/Second Watch: 

On 12-23-2020 at 1347 hours, patrol responded to an assault at Roy St & Fairview Ave N. Per the incident details, a road rage incident devolved into a physical assault through the driver side window of a vehicle. The driver of said vehicle pulled out a knife and stabbed the other party in the chest. Patrol officers arrived on scene and provided medical aid until Seattle Fire arrived on scene. The driver/suspect was taken into custody without further incident, and subsequently booked into the King County Jail for Assault. 

#2020-347266/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 12-23-2020 at 1400 hours, SPD Harbor units recovered a missing person from Portage Bay. 

#2020-351980/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 12-23-2020 at 1843 hours, passersby called 911 to report a person down in the roadway in the southbound lanes of 2400 blk Aurora Av N. Seattle Fire responded and transported the male to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The male had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. At the time of this report there are no known witnesses nor a suspect vehicle description. 

#2020-352079/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 12-23-2020 at 2052 hours, officers responded to a business in the 1900 block of S Main St for a reported burglary alarm. Call updates advised there was a suspect inside who appeared to be tampering with the alarm code panel. Officers arrived and set up containment on the building. The suspect was seen inside near the door he breached on the east side of the structure. He came out to containment officers on the east side and he was taken into custody. The building was cleared by additional arriving units and no other suspects were located. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Burglary 2nd Degree. 

#2020-352191/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 12-23-2020 at 2355 hours, patrol officers responded to an apartment building in the 700 block of E Pike St for a report of a male creating a disturbance inside his apartment, yelling, and breaking things. The first responding officers contacted a neighbor who advised the suspect had threatened to stab him. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for felony harassment and attempted to make contact at his apartment. The suspect then barricaded inside his apartment and refused to exit. SWAT, the Hostage Negotiation Team and K9 resources were requested and responded while a search warrant was obtained. After several hours, the suspect voluntarily surrendered, and the warrant was served to recover the weapon. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Felony Harassment.
