#2020-352451/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-24-2020 at 1150 hours, patrol responded to assist Seattle Fire at 911 NE 50th St. SFD was on-scene battling a large structure fire at the old Seven Gables Theater, which has been vacant and in a state of disrepair for some time. Traffic, patrol, and SFD coordinated to develop a complex traffic control plan to cover a large SFD footprint. Arson Bomb Squad detectives responded and worked with the Fire Marshal on the initial investigation. At the time of this writing, no witness or victims were located. ABS will handle the follow-up.
#2020-352567/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-24-2020 at 1438 hours, officers responded to a robbery at a business in the 6300 block of 35 Ave SW. The suspect had a large kitchen knife. Officers located the suspect on top of the roof of the 2nd story over-hang at Stewart Manner. Officers were able to get him down and into custody without incident. SPD Robbery was advised. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail.
#2020-352804/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-24-2020 at 2110 hours, two males entered the American Mary Ballard Marijuana shop. Both suspects were armed with handguns. They had the employees and customers lay on the floor. They took a large amount of cash from the back room and fled. Officers located a cellphone taken in the robbery several blocks away. Robbery was notified and screened the incident.
#2020-352813/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-24-2020 at 2119 hours, patrol officers responded to the 1600 block of S Lane St for a shots call. Officers arrived and did not locate any suspects. A vehicle and a building were struck by gunfire, and an additional vehicle was struck by a fleeing suspect vehicle. Evidence was gathered at the scene and the Gun Reduction Unit was notified.
