#2021-005756/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 01-08-2021 at 0030 hours, the clerk at the Arco located at 23 Av / E Cherry St called reporting a female in the store destroying it. Officers responded and arrested the suspect. The caller reported the suspect was upset about having to wear a mask, told him not to talk to her because she is American and he is from another country, and then proceeded to destroy a large amount of their product while also assaulting him. The caller believed he was targeted due to his national origin. Suspect was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of Bias Crime.
#2021-005795/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 01-08-2021 at 0258 hours, an uncooperative victim reported being stabbed in the face by an unknown male at an unknown location (2100 Blk S Judkins St). Officers worked extensively to work with the victim to garner cooperation but were ultimately unsuccessful. Further details remain unknown, and the exact scene location is unknown. Victim sustained approximately 2-inch long, 1/2 inch deep laceration to his face and was treated by Seattle Fire medics and transported for further medical treatment by AMR to a local hospital.
#2021-05847/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 01-08-2021 at 0512 hours, in the Lake Union neighborhood, an on-duty patrol officer attempted to investigate a suspicious, occupied vehicle. The driver struck the front of the marked patrol vehicle and left the area of the contact southbound. The suspect vehicle was located a few seconds later, abandoned. SPD K-9 responded, tracked for a short time, unable to locate suspects. No officers were injured. The vehicle that struck the patrol vehicle is a verified stolen vehicle. Officers are applying for a search warrant.
