#2021-013609/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 01-17-2021 at 0345 hours, officers responded to the 2200 block of 4th Ave for a commercial burglary in progress. Officers arrived and observed the suspect inside of the location. Containment was established and K9 responded. Officers conducted a search with K9 and located the suspect hiding inside of the property. Suspect was arrested without incident and booked for Investigation of Burglary.

#2021-13704/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 01-17-2021 at 0910 hours, Seattle Fire responded to an RV fire and discovered a deceased person inside. SPD officers and Arson Bomb Squad responded. A fire marshal conducted an investigation and determined the fire to be accidental. ABS interviewed numerous witnesses who reported the deceased was a heavy smoker and was known to cook/heat by open flame. The Medical Examiner was notified and responded; ABS will handle any follow-up investigation.

#2021-13957/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-17-2021 at 1641 hours, an occupied residential burglary was broadcasted. Officers responded to the scene and located the suspect in the front yard of the residence. Officers told the suspect to stop and he took off running. Officers initiated a foot pursuit and were able to take the suspect into custody a few blocks away. They were able to recover a large amount of stolen property. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded, and officers will be writing a search warrant on it. The suspect stated he swallowed narcotics and hospital guard was set up to ensure his booking into the King County Jail.

#2021-14182/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-17-2021 at 2127 hours, a male was getting into his vehicle, parked just outside of his apartment building, when he was rushed by one suspect. The suspect produced a handgun and began pistol whipping the victim in the back of the head, producing several minor lacerations. The suspect then forcibly took several items from the victim, to include a Glock 17 handgun with 33 round extended magazine inserted. The suspect then jumped into a nearby vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction. Officers conducted an area check for the vaguely described suspect/suspect vehicle with negative results.

#2021-14224/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-17-2021 at 2329 hours, a male called 911 to report that a neighbor was threatening him. Officers contacted the victim and he reported that the suspect made threats to “end him”. The suspect had previously threatened a different neighbor, increasing the concern for this victim. Officers attempted to contact the suspect at his apartment. The suspect refused to come outside. Officers disengaged with the suspect and cleared the scene.
