#2021-016078/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-20-2021 at 0226 hours, the reporting party advised of a “male voice calling out for assistance” and observed the “male walk away, dripping fluids.” Officers ultimately located a male victim with severe lacerations to his hand and upper torso, and a laceration to the knee. The victim described the suspect and officers rendered first aid until Seattle Fire arrived on scene; AMR later provided transport to a local hospital. Patrol located and processed the original crime scene approximately eight blocks away from where the victim was discovered. As of this writing, the victim was listed in stable condition.

#2021-016472/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-20-2021 at 1258 hours, officers responded to the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in the 9100 block of Rainier AV S regarding initial reports of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. After conducting an investigation, officers confirmed that the victim had been intentionally struck by the suspect vehicle. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The Homicide Unit was consulted regarding this assault. Officers processed the scene and the suspect was not located at this time.

#2021-016691/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-20-2021 at 1630 hours, an SPD Reserve Officer reported that he was a victim of a Theft. An SPD Patrol Jacket and SPD Traffic Vest along with other non-SPD marked items were taken. The incident occurred in the CID.

#2021-016728/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-20-2021 at 1809 hours, a male entered a grocery store, selected an item and then proceeded to exit without making any attempt to pay for the item. As he walked out of the store, he noticed a uniformed security guard standing there. The suspect pulled out a large “Rambo” style knife and repeatedly threatened to stab the security guard, who feared for his life. The suspect walked to a nearby bus stop and was observed getting on a bus. Officers responded, followed the bus and saw a subject matching the suspect description get off the bus some distance away. The officer observed the suspect until sufficient officers arrived, and they were able to detain him until a show-up confirmed it was the correct suspect. The suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.

#2021-016738/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-20-2021 at 1815, during demonstrations, officers were attempting to take a female subject into custody after she was assaulting another female for taking photographs of her group. The subject was striking a photographer with her metal water bottle. The subject resisted arrest and during the struggle on the ground, the subject kicked an officer in the groin area causing pain. A type 2 Use of Force investigation was completed and the subject was booked for Investigation of Assault.
