#2021-016963/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-21-2021 at 0130 hours, officers responded to a local hospital for a crisis report in which a subject voluntarily checked herself in for mental health evaluation. The subject reported having an extensive plan to kill a person out of state using her AR-15. The subject did not wish to surrender her firearm voluntarily. She was identified as an Extreme Risk Protection Order candidate and the proper follow up units were forwarded the appropriate information.

#2021-016971/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-21-2021 at 0152 hours, Seattle Fire responded to a vehicle fire. After extinguishing the fire, which consumed the front half of the vehicle and scorched the side of the vehicles parked alongside, a fire marshal was called to the scene. The fire marshal determined that the fire was an intentional arson and called SPD for a report. The SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad was contacted and will be conducting follow up investigations.

#2021-017707/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-21-2021 at 2043 hours, several callers reported hearing gunshots with one caller stating that a dark colored sedan was seen leaving the area. Officers arrived on scene and did not locate any evidence of a shooting. Officers attempted to contact several of the callers, but most were unavailable or stated that they didn’t see anything, they just heard it. Officers cleared the scene. About an hour later, the apartment manager called back and stated that he located a vehicle with bullet damage. Officers responded back to the scene and one vehicle had bullet damage to the front hood/engine compartment. Through further investigation, a male stated that he was just sitting in the car leaned over behind the console when he heard three shots hit the vehicle and an unknown car sped away. The uninjured male stated that he went back into the apartment and didn’t advise anyone of the incident until officers questioned his girlfriend about her vehicle. The bullet damage was photographed.

#2021-017828/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-21-2021 at 2316 hours, four suspects walked into a 7-11. Suspect 1 pointed a gun at the clerk while Suspect 2 walked into the register area and demanded that money be placed into a money pouch. The suspects took the money pouch with about $500 and ran WB. K9 conducted a track.
