Police seized eight firearms last week after learning a Seattle woman experiencing a mental health crisis had crafted a plan to kill a man in another state.
SPD’s Crisis Response Team (CRT) contacted the woman and learned the details of her plan. She told police she owned and trained with firearms but declined to surrender her guns. CRT then obtained an Extreme Risk Protection Order and seized a number of rifles and handguns from the woman’s Capitol Hill apartment for safekeeping.
