#2021-028203/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-03-2021 at 0138 hours, three men entered a Subway and robbed it at gun point. During the robbery one of the robbers attempted to jump over the counter, lost his balance and fell, firing one round through the wall. The robbers took an unknown amount of money and fled. No one was injured. Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspects. The suspects are believed to have fled in a vehicle. Evidence of a shooting was located.
#2021-028332/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-03-2021 at 0744 hours, officers contacted a male who had just pulled into his property to check on work being done. An unknown vehicle was parked nearby. The male/victim stepped out of his vehicle and asked the driver (suspect) of the unknown vehicle if he needed help. The driver (suspect) of the unknown vehicle repeated the question back to the victim, then looked at the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle while holding a shotgun. The suspect pointed the shotgun at the victim’s chest. The victim gave the suspect the keys. The suspect then drove away in the victim’s vehicle. Responding officers saw the stolen vehicle as they arrived in the area. They pursued the vehicle to downtown Seattle, eventually arresting the suspect after a collision at Alaskan and Broad. The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad responded and investigated the collision. FIT responded and investigated the Use of Force. The suspect was taken to headquarters where he was interviewed by robbery unit detectives. He was eventually booked into the King County Jail on Investigation of Robbery and eluding charges.
#2021-28646/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-03-2021 at 1425 hours, officers responded to a report of a possible burglary to a storage unit. Upon arrival, the storage unit was found empty and the involved subjects were located on scene. The contents of the storage unit, artwork, had been loaded into a U-Haul truck, which was also still on scene. Through the investigation, officers learned that the items in question had been transferred to a group of subjects who would determine the final disposition of the items. Those items were stored within one storage unit on behalf of the group. Since that time, the group has had a differing opinion of control/disposition of the items and the storage unit lock was changed. Part of the group arrived at the storage unit today, removed the lock and removed the items they claimed belonged to them. The storage unit locking mechanism was damaged during this process. Other members of the group arrived and also claimed ownership on behalf of the items’ original artists. The situation was resolved with the items being left on scene with all parties being notified of the civil issue involved. Police stood-by to assure the peace was provided until the parties separated. Media was on scene.
#2021-28974/South Precinct/Third Watch: On 02-03-2021 at 2021 hours, patrol responded to assist Seattle Fire on a large structure fire for approx. two hours in the 6200 block of Airport WY S. There were no injuries and a fire marshal deemed it non-criminal. |
