#2021-043380/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 02-21-2021 at 0137 hours, a male was about to sleep inside his vehicle that had been a recovered stolen during the evening. The windows were tinted so it’s assumed that the suspect could not see the victim. The victim just drove into the area, so he did not have a residence and the suspect had stolen his keys during the earlier auto theft. The suspect took the vehicle at gun point. The victim vehicle was recovered unoccupied in the west precinct. The vehicle was towed for processing.

#2021-43397/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 02-21-2021 at 0210 hours, officers responded to a report of a suspect threatening to shoot his neighbor after an argument about a noise complaint. The suspect produced a handgun, pointed it at the victim, and threatened to shoot him. Officers arrived on scene, contained the location, and safely moved the victim and his girlfriend away from the residence. Officers formed a contact team and were able to successfully persuade the suspect out his house and detain him without incident. A positive ID was made on scene and the suspect was placed under arrest. A consent to search was completed and officers recovered a realistic looking BB gun from the location. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail.

#2021-043775/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 02-21-2021 at 1513 hours, a citizen purchased a crochet kit at a Goodwill Store and brought it home. Upon opening, the citizen found a heavy square shaped “brick” completely encased in yellow rubber that was wrapped with multiple layers inside the box. The citizen peeled a few layers and observed “100%” written on one of the layers along with a chemical smell. The citizen became concerned as the box did not contain a crochet kit and called 911 asking for assistance with the suspicious package. Officers responded and determined the “brick” was compressed white powder. This powder later field tested positive for cocaine. The total weight was approximately one kilo. Narcotics was notified.  

#2021-043994/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 02-21-2021 at 2009 hours, officers responded to a person trespassing in the carrousel door of a hotel. The subject was removed from the doorway and asked to leave by the officers. The subject then began threatening to kill the security officer who called the police on him, so officers placed the subject under arrest. While the arresting officer was reading Miranda warnings to the subject, the subject spat in the officer’s face and eyes. The subject was transported to the West Precinct, at which time he defecated in the officer’s patrol car, and then also defecated in the precinct holding cell. The subject was transported to the King County Jail but was declined at the booking counter. After being treated at Harborview Medical Center he was taken back to the King County Jail and booked for felony harassment and assault on a police officer.
