On 02-22-2021 at 1615 hours, a 911 call was broadcasted stating On-star was tracking a stolen vehicle. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled from officers. The vehicle stopped at NE 130th St and 1 Av NE and this information was provided to officers by On-Star. The unmarked car came into the area with a marked car and attempted to arrest the suspect while he was outside of the vehicle on foot. As the unmarked car was moving in, the suspect jumped back into the driver’s seat and reversed away, colliding into the marked unit that was at a stop. The suspect then fled SB on 1st Av NE. No officers followed this vehicle and it was later discovered at N 41st St and Linden Av N, unoccupied. A K-9 track was initiated but yielded no results. The vehicle was impounded to the processing room where it is being held for prints. No officers were injured.
