Police arrested multiple suspects and seized cash, drugs, and weapons after serving a warrant on a tent in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
As part of a narcotics-dealing investigation, police served a warrant on a tent in an encampment just north of the 700 block of Yesler Way. There were three men and one woman in the tent, and all three men were arrested. The Seattle Fire Department transported the woman to the hospital for treatment of an unrelated, previously sustained injury.
Police seized more than $800 and an assortment of weapons from the tent including a pistol, several knives and machetes, a sword, a taser, a wooden club, a baton, and a realistic BB gun. Officers also collected approximately 14.3 grams of methamphetamine, 5.5 grams of crack cocaine, 4.3 grams of heroin, 0.8 grams of fentanyl, and several dozen controlled-substance prescription pills.
A 38-year-old man was booked in the King County Jail for sale and delivery of illegal narcotics and for a prior, unrelated felony warrant for dangerous drugs. A 37-year-old man was booked in the King County Jail for sale and delivery of illegal narcotics and illegal possession of a firearm. A 58-year-old man was booked into South Correctional Entity for a Department of Corrections warrant related to burglary in the first degree.
This incident was unrelated to a similar warrant service in Pioneer Square yesterday afternoon.
