#2021-082587/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-06-2021 at 0128 hours, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 6200 block of Airport WY S on the second floor of an apartment complex. The victim reported that he had been sleeping in his bed when a bullet came through the ceiling and hit him in the leg. Officers located the victim and facilitated getting him to Seattle Fire medics quickly for additional medical treatment. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers also checked on the condition of the first-floor resident and found she was not injured. Officers contacted the two subjects in the room above the victims and they were taken into custody. Officers recovered the firearm. Additionally, officers applied for a search warrant, which was granted, and additional evidence was recovered.

#2021-083168/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-06-2021 at 1600 hours, officers responded to several 911 reports of a male in crisis brandishing a large knife walking near the intersection of Lakeview Blvd E and Belmont Av E. Officers arrived on the scene and observed the suspect carrying the knife. A contact team was formed, and officers attempted to gain compliance with the suspect. The suspect advised officers that he tossed the knife away and appeared unarmed. Traffic was shut down and a perimeter was established. The suspect refused to comply and advised officers that he would assault them if they attempted to arrest him. After lengthy negotiations, the suspect agreed to be transported by AMR for a medical evaluation. The suspect is well known by East Precinct officers and he was transported for an ITA.

#2021-08/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-06-2021 at 2244 hours, a male was in his tent in Courthouse Park when two other park campers (suspects) entered his tent. After a brief verbal exchange, the two suspects attacked the victim, each with a 6″ knife. Victim suffered puncture/laceration wounds to a hand, and puncture wound(s) to his back. The suspects then took the victim’s bicycle and backpack. Victim ran to a nearby shelter to call 9-1-1. Victim was later transported to Harborview Medical Center for medical treatment of non-life threatening wounds. Suspects were not located.
