#2021-81751/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-05-2021 at 0527 hours, officers were conducting an unrelated investigation in the Rainier Vista neighborhood when they heard a volley of 8-10 gunshots, in close proximity to their location. Shortly after hearing the gunshots, two officers saw a dark colored SUV rapidly driving out of the neighborhood. The officers attempted to catch up to the vehicle, but it sped away before they could get close enough to determine a make, model, or get a license plate. About the same time another dark colored sedan quickly left the area. No injuries or property damage was reported, but evidence of a shooting was recovered from Jill Pl S / S Dakota St. At 7:58 AM a resident in the 4300 block of MLK Jr Way S called 911 to report finding bullet holes in his residence. An officer responded to the address to document the damage, collect evidence, and complete a supplemental report. It is unknown if this house was intentionally targeted.
