A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed at his family’s home in Rainier Beach on Friday night.
Just before 11:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the 9200 block of Waters Avenue South for reports of a shooting. According to witnesses, the suspect knocked on the door of a residence, and the 16-year-old victim went to answer it. The suspect shot the victim multiple times at the doorway and then fled the area. Responding officers attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
