Police arrested a suspected gunman Monday afternoon after he shot another man near Freeway Park.
Shortly before 2 PM witnesses began calling 911 to report a man shooting at someone in the 600 block of Seneca Street. Officers arrived within 3 minutes and were able to take the suspect into custody and recover a firearm. Police provided first aid to the victim, who had a gunshot wound to the abdomen, until Seattle Fire Department Medics arrived and took the man to Harborview Medical Center.
