An 18-year-old man was wounded in a shooting shortly before 1 AM Friday in the Mt. Baker neighborhood.
Police responded to the 3800 block of Letitia Avenue South at 12:50 AM, after receiving a 911 call about gunfire, and found an 18-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately provided first aid until Seattle Fire Department Medics arrived and took over. Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Witnesses said the victim had just exited a car when an unknown suspect drove up and opened fire. The witnesses told police they took cover and were unable to provide any suspect description.
Detectives located multiple spent shell casings at the scene and are searching the area for additional evidence or video surveillance of the incident.
