#2021-118587/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-15-2021 at 0000 hours, an officer on viewed a single vehicle rollover accident. The female driver was unconscious but breathing. Officers determined the driver to be DUI and arrested her. The incident was screened by the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad. The driver was transported to Valley Medical where the blood draw was performed and where she was diagnosed with a brain bleed. The driver was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

#2021-118966/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-15-2021 at 1230 hours, a Downtown Ambassador working with MID got off the E-Line Metro near 3rd Ave and Virginia St. Upon doing so, an unknown suspect approached him, yelled something about him being a Downtown Ambassador, then stabbed him in the lower back. The suspect then fled on foot from the area. Victim walked to the 400 block of Stewart St, where a co-worker called 911 to report the incident. Officers arrived and provided medical aid, covering the victim’s wound with a chest seal and compression bandage. Victim declined a transport to the hospital and chose to have his co-worker drive him to his private doctor. An extensive area check for the suspect yielded negative results.

#2021-119046/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-15-2021 at 1450 hours, officers responded to the 2100 block of 7th Ave regarding the report of Criminal Trespass. After repeated attempts to get the subject to leave the campus (offering services, outreach, etc.) had failed, the subject was placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass with no reportable force. As officers were conducting a search of the subject’s person, incident to his arrest, the subject leaned back and quickly head-butted an officer in the face, striking the officer’s right cheekbone. Seattle Fire was called to scene to assess the officer’s contusion, and later transported by a squad-mate to the hospital for further evaluation. No significant injuries were sustained during the assault, and the suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of assault, with charges requested for Criminal Trespass.

#2021-119235/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-15-2021 at 1811 hours, bicycle officers were on routine patrol when they heard of a property damage call being dispatched nearby their location at the Cinerama Movie Theater. The reporting party who was walking by had observed the suspect throw a large piece of concrete through the large pain glass door of the movie theater causing massive damage to the door. Officers quickly responded the area and found the suspect in a nearby alleyway. The suspect admitted to the crime and was placed in custody without incident. Seattle Fire was called to secure the door with plywood and Cinerama staff was contacted about the destruction.

#2021-119890/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-15-2021 at 2100 hours, a victim and a group of friends were walking in the area of Ravenna NE/NE 55. A driver of a gray Honda yelled a slur based on perceived sexual orientation at the group. The victim threw an orange peel at the Honda and the driver and passenger got out. The driver of the vehicle assaulted the victim causing injuries to his head and face.

#2021-119414/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-15-2021 at 2121 hours, officers responded to the report of a fight disturbance that escalated into a shooting in the South Lake Union neighborhood. A witness’s cell phone video showed several males fighting and then two of the involved combatants retrieving handguns from a black Lexus sedan. One of the suspects fired shots into the air while the other fired ten rounds at a male who was running away northbound through an alleyway. Arriving officers located evidence of a shooting and the victim’s sunglasses at the scene. Damage to a nearby building was located, including a bullet hole in an apartment window. Officers conducted a welfare check of the residence and found no one was inside. Patrol processed the scene, photographing damage and recovering evidence. A victim later arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to the back. It was determined that this victim was uninvolved with the incident and just happened to be at the opposite end of the alleyway when he was struck by gunfire. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit responded to the hospital and interviewed the victim.

#2021-119435/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-15-2021 at 2141 hours, multiple callers reported hearing a shooting near E Alder St / Erie Av involving a Ford Taurus shooting at and chasing a Black Tesla. As officers were responding a black Tesla was involved in a collision at 31 Av S / S King St. The driver of the Tesla fled from the scene on foot and was reportedly bleeding from his face and possibly his hand. The driver of the vehicle he struck suffered minor injuries including a possible broken rib as reported by Seattle Fire. He did not want medical treatment. The SPD’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad screened the incident. Patrol processed the scene. The Tesla was not registered in the area, but an officer located a handicap placard in the Tesla that was registered nearby. Officers contacted the resident who reported that her son had one and contacted him. She then became uncooperative. Officers later contacted the staff at Blue Water Bistro and discovered the same individuals were there earlier involved in a disturbance. The Tesla was later reported stolen out of Lakewood PD. The victim of theft appeared to be a legit victim of auto theft and assisted with the investigation.

#2021-119555/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-15-2021 at 2349 hours, a male victim called 911 and reported that someone threw eggs at his front door and wrote a derogatory word about his race on the door. Officers conducted a thorough investigation and photographed the scene. No suspect info, no security cameras and no witness for this incident. Email notification was sent.
