#2021-121389/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-18-2021 at 0117 hours, a security officer working in the 14300 block of 32 Avenue NE observed three juvenile males in the vicinity of Little Brook Park, heard two shots fired, the heard the juveniles laughing as they ran northbound from the location. Responding officers subsequently located evidence of a shooting, but no associated damage or victims, or the suspects.
#2021-121391/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-18-2021 at 0118 hours, off-duty WSP troopers working security for a downtown business located a previously trespassed subject within a private parking garage at 3rd & Pine. During their investigation, the troopers observed a partially concealed shotgun barrel under the male’s clothing. The subject was detained while awaiting SPD response. Though no shells were recovered, the shotgun was functional with a “sawed off” barrel and stock. The arrestee is a convicted felon.
#2021-121634/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 05-18-2021 at 0938 hours a male suspect followed a male victim for a few blocks while threatening to assault and kill him. During this incident, the suspect continued using racial slurs toward the victim. Bystanders began to intervene when SPD bicycle officers arrived on scene and placed the suspect into custody. He was booked into the King County Jail for several charges.
#2021-121762/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 05-18-2021 at 1200 hours, two subjects were on the 1400 block of Olive Way when they got into an argument over money. They began shoving each other, prompting one of them to pull out a knife and stab the other. The subjects then left the area prior to officers’ arrival. Officers found some blood-stained clothes that were discarded at the scene. The area was checked, but we were unable to locate either subject.
#2021-103274/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 05-18-2021 at 1700 hours, over the course of several weeks, suspects have committed multiple purse snatches and strong-arm robberies. All the victims have been Asian females in the International District. Robbery Detective identified the primary suspect. Detective worked in collaboration with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit, Marshals Task Force and SPD officers to locate and arrest the suspect.
#2021-122133/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-18-2021 at 2015 hours, officers responded to NW Hospital to assist security with a patient who was refusing to leave with a service dog after being discharged. The female became extremely agitated and refused to listen to officers. As officers went to escort the female patient outside, the female assaulted one officer by hitting them in the arm. Officers escorted the female to the floor and while attempting to place the female in handcuffs, she assaulted the second officer by grabbing them in the genitals. Neither officer sustained injuries. The female was taken into custody and booked into the King County Jail for the assault on officers.
