On 05-25-2021 at 1617 hours, a 3rd floor resident of an apartment building in the 100blk of Vine St. started throwing urine-filled glass mason jars at pedestrians on the sidewalk below. One hit a male victim who was eating below, causing an obvious but apparently minor injury. A witness then saw the suspect throw another urine-filled glass jar at two women, but it missed, shattering on the sidewalk. Officers blocked the sidewalk and attempted to contact the suspect but got no response at his door. There was a prior history of weapons in his unit, so it was treated as a barricade situation. CRT responded. Ultimately, it was learned the suspect had left the scene and it was cleared. A warrant was obtained in case the suspect returns and resumes the assaults.
