#2021-130299/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-27-2021 at 1259 hours, a male victim left the key inside his work truck while working inside a client’s house. A suspect stole the truck and drove off. When officers were responding to the original scene to interview the victim, an officer spotted the vehicle in traffic. Upon seeing a police vehicle, the suspect sped off. Officers converged on the area to look for the vehicle and located it parked on a side street. The suspect was seen getting out of the vehicle and walking away upon officers’ arrival. Officers contacted the suspect and arrested him for auto theft without incident. The vehicle was returned to the victim. Upon checking the vehicle, the victim located a purse with a large amount of money inside that did not belong to him. Officers checked the purse and found out it belonged to a car prowl victim. The purse and its contents were returned to the car prowl victim. General Investigation Unit detectives responded and interviewed the suspect. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for auto theft and possession of stolen property. Watch Commander was notified.

#2021-130532/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-27-2021 at 1709 hours, an unknown male became upset at a victim after the victim tried to pass the male on the sidewalk. This male accused the victim of following him and became angry. This unknown male punched the victim several times in the face while calling her a racially derogatory word.

#2021-130594/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-27-2021 at 1842 hours, officers responded to several reports of shots fired in a wooded area in the 10100 block of Holyoke Way S. Evidence of a shooting was found and the scene was processed. No victims or property damage were located.

#2021-130712/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-27-2021 at 2200 hours, officers on-viewed a disturbance inside the Ballard Commons involving two residents of the park. A property dispute over who owned a tent and its furnishings resulted in the suspect grabbing two large, edged weapons and attempting to repossess what he believed to be his by force. Suspect was taken into custody without incident.

#2021-130765/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-27-2021 at 2320 hours, officers responded to several reports of shots fired in the 400 block of 8th Ave N. Callers reported approximately 4-5 shots, then a brief lapse in time, then an additional 7-8 shots. During the investigation, officers located evidence of a shooting on a nearby rooftop. No victims or property damage were located or reported.
